FFC Response to COVID-19

Update 8/3:

Starting Monday August 3rd

We are now open every day

from 7am to 9pm!

Please join the line outside by 8:45 pm to ensure we have the capacity to serve you.

The 7am to 8am shopping hour is reserved for seniors and those at elevated risk from COVID-19.

All healthcare workers may show their work ID to the person managing our entry line for priority access during general hours.

Per New York State Executive order 202.34 we require all customers and employees to cover their nose and mouth with a
mask or cloth face-covering upon entry and throughout the duration of their time in our co-op.

If you do not have a face covering our security personnel will provide you with one.

We are asking our shoppers to help us by following the guidelines of social distancing while in the store.
Please keep at least 6 feet between yourself and other shoppers and staff members while inside the co-op or in line waiting to enter.

In addition:
•    We are limiting the number of shoppers to 35 at a time inside the co-op (to maintain a combined shopper and staff count of 50 people). Please allow yourself time for waiting to enter the store.
•    We have removed the baskets from the floor and provide shopping carts only. This reduces our sanitizing needs and creates distance throughout the
store among shoppers and staff, especially at the checkout line.  Shopping carts are being sanitized after every use.
•    A staff member will be stationed at the door to assist customer flow and shopping cart distribution. Please follow their instructions.

Please know that we are doing the very best we can to continue serving our community with healthy food during this time.
Our staff members are working very hard and balancing their personal needs with the needs of the store, please show them your appreciation.

Our top priorities continue to be safety and service.
We have taken the following steps to ensure the safety of our shoppers and staff:

·  All staff must complete a health self-check before coming in to work.

·  We have increased the frequency of the sanitation of the store and we are sanitizing frequently touched items such as shopping carts and credit card readers regularly throughout the day.

·  We have made both alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations and nitrile gloves available for our shoppers.

·  We have discontinued all in-store sampling and vendor demos.

·  We have temporarily suspended the use of personal containers for beverages and bulk items.

·  We are currently not accepting merchandise returns, bottle returns for deposit, and plastic bags for recycling.
