Although most people are familiar with consumer co-ops such as ours, there are many other types of co-ops as well.

There are also producer co-ops (agricultural), financial (credit unions), housing and worker-owned cooperatives. The goals and missions of all types of co-ops are determined by their member-owners but all generally adhere to the internationally recognized Cooperative Principles.
